Removable & Fixed Appliances

Hawleys retainers are the original removable “retainer” design and remain the favorite among many doctors. Whether maxillary or mandibular, they are easily adjusted chairside & are rigid enough to keep the patient from deforming them. There are several variations including wraparound hawleys and SLB (soldered labial bow) to posterior adams clasps. We also offer spring aligners, anterior snap retainers, invisible retainers & phase I appliance.

Fixed retainer options include band & loop space maintainers, palatal bar, lingual arch, nance button, transpalatal bar, blue grass appliance and thumb/tongue cribs.

Expansion Appliances

Expansion appliances are designed to widen the maxillary arch utilizing a screw for movement over a prescribed timeframe. We offer standard and bonded RPEs, mini screw expander, Arnold expander, bi-helix and quad helix.

We are able to fabricate a lower expander with a screw, as well.

Splints & Athletic Mouthguards

Our passive removable splints protect the patient’s teeth from grinding and clenching and will relieve pressure to the TMJ.

We offer the traditional hard guard, along with a material that has a hard outer shell and a soft interior liner. These can be fabricated for the maxillary or mandibular arch. Another option for the mandibular is a gelb appliance which only covers the posterior teeth with a stainless steel lingual bar.

For the athletes in your practice, we offer soft sport guards with or without a tether to attach to a helmet. We have a number of color options and can insert the patient’s name or player number for identification purposes.

Sleep Appliance/Snore Guard

The EMA appliance offers comfort while advancing the mandibular forward to open the airway to prevent snoring and forms of sleep apnea. The appliance is entirely made of a plastic material and straps without the any metal. It is FDA approved & COOL is an approved EMA laboratory.

Missing Teeth Appliances

We offer a few options for patients who are waiting implant surgery or who need a less expensive option. Our removable flippers and clear invisible retainers with plastic pontics are the most popular. We also offer a single tooth maryland bridge which is cemented to the adjacent teeth. This is a fixed appliance which cannot be removed by the patient, but can be removed by the dentist.

Lingual Bonded Retainers

COOL offers three different varieties of bonded retainers depending on the preference of the patient and dentist. We offer a twist wire that is bent to the lingual dentition and bonded in by the dentist.

Our second option is a bonded wire with mesh pads on either end of the wire, or the mesh pads can be placed behind each tooth. Again, bonded in place by the dentist.

The third option is a bonded wire with composite pads, which are placed on each tooth. It will come in a flexible transfer tray for accurate placement.

Whitening/Bleaching Trays

Bleaching trays are a quick way for improve your patient’s smile in a short amount of time. Our trays are custom made to the patient’s model for accurate fit and ultimate comfort. Any bleaching gel can be used with our trays.
